Oh, I’m quite excited to tell you about this one. I had the heartiest breakfast in the most serene environment, prepared and served by courteous and friendly staff. I think it is a great place for a family breakfast and I’m sure your kids would enjoy the choice of ice-cream along with breakfast, and find the colourful fresh fruits a delight.

Food: Poached Eggs and How to Make Yours
For most of us in Nigeria, we prefer our eggs hard-boiled, fried or stewed, and like our meat, we like them very well done. However, despite being semi-cooked, they are easy to make, healthful and low in calories, and with a little salt and black pepper, a delicious addition to your breakfast or salad.
Lounging in Lagos
Lagos for me is a lot like that loud unattractive lover you can’t stand to be around too long, but are enamoured with regardless. The hustle and bustle in this concrete jungle is characterised by the unpleasant smell of what I like to think is the sea, crowds of people at bus-stops, and the constant riotous noise; a mix of blaring horns and shrilling voices. But, it’s Lagos, my place of love.
Review: The Best Shawarma in Abuja
On a hunt for the best Shawarma in Abuja and here’s my review of Shawarma King, Drumstix, Chicken Capitol, Sahad
Review: Chicken Capitol, Abuja
This is arguably the best tasting shawarma in Abuja. I especially liked that garlic was an option
Review: Drumstix Wuse 2, Abuja
In my opinion, Drumstix Shawarma is great value for money, the location and outdoor sitting area is perfect for people-watching and getting a feel of the city, and the convenience associated with getting it is priceless.
Review: Shawarma King Maitama, Abuja
If you are in Abuja and craving shawarma, Shawarma King will make you very happy.
Review: Sahad Shawarma Abuja
Now, they say if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. So I don’t know how to talk about this one. To begin with, I’m not a germophobe but I developed hygiene concerns when I saw him take the shawarma of the small grill with his fingers, which he had just used to touch is phone while taking a call. Phones are some of the dirtiest object around.
Weightloss Update: Ketogenic Diet vs Waterfasting
I quit the Ketogenic Diet after Day 30 for 21 days on the Water fast
Review: Coco Ribbon Doughnuts
Sequel to my previous reviews, and in my quest for the best doughnut in Abuja, let me present: Coco Ribbon Doughnuts! Located in Wuse 2, Coco Ribbon Doughnuts are high-end and quite frankly, the most expensive doughnuts I’ve had in my life, costing twice the price of the others.
Review: Doughnuts from the Donut Factory
After every review, I feel like I gain a pound. But I’m enjoying myself too much to care, and I can’t wait to tell you about the doughnuts from the Donut Factory. The Donut Factory is located in Jabi, Abuja and serves some of the best doughnuts in this city!
Dinner at 355 Steakhouse and Lounge, Maitama
We’ve been reviewing a number of restaurants lately and enjoying ourselves, maybe a little too much. But, here goes: 355 Steakhouse and Lounge.
Dinner at Tulip Bistro, Wuse 2
The Tulip Bistro is an upscale restaurant in Wuse 2. It’s easy to locate and as usual, I’ve included the google map link here. It’s plush furnished nooks provides some level of privacy and it’s rectangular wooden dining tables and straight-backed chairs gave that “proper dining” feel to the eating experience.
Review: Moi-Moi Factory, Gwarimpa
Bored with the office canteen’s food, my colleagues and I were deliberating on what to have for breakfast. Then one of them suggested we try moi-moi from the “Moi-Moi Factory”. I couldn’t hide my amusement at the name and its obvious similarity to “Charlie’s Chocolate Factory”. I was intrigued and immediately decided I’d try some.
Brunch at Salamander, Wuse 2
I had been to Salamander Cafe before and loved their Avocado Omelette, so I convinced my girls to have breakfast there. It is an upscale bistro with a lot of emphasis on the arts. The indoor area was tastefully furnished with this unique chandelier made of green beer bottles
Dinner at Ocean Basket, Johannesburg
Ocean Basket is a seafood restaurant chain with outlets around South Africa, and a branch in Victoria Island, Lagos. Not everyone is big on sea food so a few of my colleagues were hesitant. However, with really good reviews on Trip Advisor, and its proximity to our lodgings, I convinced them to take a chance.
Lunch Time at Nkoyo, Ceddi Plaza
I’ve always liked Nkoyo restaurant in Abuja! It’s such beautiful place. The restaurant was decorated with bamboos and plants, giving the area a warm ambience.
