Packing for a 2-week trip is stressful. Packing for a whole year is a nightmare, especially when you are on a budget and have to keep things within the airline baggage weight limit. There’s packing, weighing and then unpacking in order of least necessary and least expensive to replace, until you get a combination that is relatively satisfying. Sequel to my previous post, this focuses on the stark differences between Nigeria and India.

The power supply has only gone off twice and I was surprised to hear myself say “NEPA has finally taken the light”. In about 5 minutes, power supply was restored. For someone who has endured erratic power supply all her life, there’s not much to say or compare with here except to express disappointment and pray that Fashola can redeem us. It is always fun to travel. My earliest memory of traveling is staring out at the trees speeding past on either side of the endless stretch of road, and then drifting in and out of sleep in the backseat of my dad’s Peugeot 504. This year, I’ve been blessed to travel often, both locally and abroad, and even now, the steady hum of the engine, plane or car, still sends me to sleep. If you have a reason to go to South Africa from Nigeria, perhaps for business or pleasure; it is helpful to keep in mind that the requirements for a South African visa change often. Worse, these requirements are slightly different from those stated on the VFS Global Checklist. This difference cost me a lot of time and energy, and more painfully, a lot of money.
So, this post is to better prepare you for your visa submission at the VFS Office. Continue reading South African Visa Requirements for Nigeria (2016 Update)
