This year’s Valentine’s Day is extra special, not just because I’m Catholic and it’s Ash Wednesday, but I got an unexpected Beauty Haul! As Christ gives us the gift of new life through repentance and penance, and admirer got me the classic Valentine’s Day package for most women; Chocolate, a fragrance, you know the works. Today is a combined celebration of true love!
I’m shocked and particularly excited about the facial routine (Someone has been reading my beauty blog) and I can’t wait to tell you about them all.
Fragrance: Coco Mademoiselle EDP
This fragrance is said to be a floral citrus fragrance for women. Professional reviews say it’s got a whole load of “notes” including orange, bergamot, mimosa, jasmine, Turkish rose and ylang-ylang, Tonka bean, patchouli, opoponax, vanilla, vetiver and white musk. I’ll be honest and tell you that I don’t know the difference, but I think I was able to detect the orange in all this.

So to simplify my first impression, this fragrance smells really sweet and something about it makes it even delicious. I haven’t worn it so I can’t decide how I feel about it nor can I compare it to any other Chanel parfum I have used. I also can’t say anything with respect to longevity. However, this product has been available since 2001 and has a tonne of positive reviews so…fingers crossed?
Facial Routine: Murad Joyful and Radiant Gift Set

I think I shed a tear on this one. If you read my previous post October Beauty Haul- Montaigne Place, you’ll see that I tried Murad for the first time using their Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum to clear my acne spots, and I was fairly impressed.

A 3-Step program to cleanse,treat, hydrate and protect, this box contains;
1. Essential-C Cleanser – “…cleanser from the scientific skin care experts at Murad designed to fight against the daily impact of pollutants and environmental damage”. Okay, there’s a lot of dust right now. That qualifies as pollution yeah?
2. Advanced Active Radiance Serum – “…infuses Vitamin-C and antioxidants for younger, healthy skin.” I might have to cut back on my daily consumption of oranges but let’s see…
3. Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 – “…for people looking to protect their skin from sun damage, and preserve moisture.” With this Hamattan, this is definitely for me!

Chocolate
I apologise. I ate the chocolate before I realised I’d need a picture. But I hope sharing the others in detail have made up this.
I’ll be trying out these products in the coming weeks and hopefully do a review on all of them. In the meantime, Happy Valentine’s Day, I hope today brings you the love and happiness you deserve. May it last forever.
Have you used Coco Mademoiselle or any Murad Products? Let me know what you think in the comments!
As always, thank you for reading!

I’ve heard of Murad, but I’ve never tried it and of course, I know all about Chanel..lol. I bought my mom the Chanel #5 for Christmas one year because she was an avid perfume connoisseur you can say. But I’ve never tried or smelled the Coco Chanel, but I know it smells good – maybe one day I’ll get me a bottle. Can’t wait to see how the Murad does on you. Happy Valentines Day!!
