Movie Review: The Mountain Between Us

First, I feel like this movie was deliberately interracial, given all the racial tensions in the US this past year. The main characters are Hollywood A-Listers. Kate Winslet (famous for her role in the Titanic) plays Alex Martin an inquisitive international journalist covering war turn areas and Idris Elba a British neurosurgeon, Dr Ben Bass.

Book Review: The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur

Released on October 3, The Sun and Her Flowers offers perspective on a lot of sensitive aspects of a woman’s personal life; love, loss, heartbreak, trauma and motherhood, and controversial circumstances in Indian society which include culture, feminism, and immigration. As is obvious from her name, Rupi Kaur is an Indian woman who emigrated with her parents to Canada when she was four.
